So checking the coolant is very important. Keep an eye out for leak, and also squeeze the hoses when the engine is cool to make sure they are firm. Wipers throughout summer many bugs and dirt from the roads can get onto the windscreen. So it is key to ensure that they are working properly. This is to prevent nasty streaks across the windscreen that could affect your vision. Tyres should be checked all year round. Make sure the pressures are correct, there are no stones or nails within the tyres. Also, check for uneven wear and tread depth. Always check your tyre pressure when the tyres are cold. Engine Belts over the years can deteriorate, become loose and sometimes just break for no reason. If you see any cracks or missing pieces it’s time to replace. Essential Fluids such as oil, brake fluid, power-steering fluids and windshield-washer are always used and will never stop being consumed. So it is important to keep on top of it and ensure the levels are correct. Air Filters can get clogged up over the colder months.
