Spring car cleaning should be an annual maintenance routine. Over the winter months, snow and salt can affect the wheels and paint of your car. So it’s great to give it a good clean ready for the spring.
Remove winter tyres
As it starts to get warmer replace your winter tyres for all-season tyres. Leaving winter tyres on the car can be dangerous. Winter tyres have a rubber that performs better at lower temperatures. Leaving winter tyres on can make the rubber wear down quicker.
Wash Your Car
It’s good to wash the exterior to get rid of salt and dirt. Waxing the car is also good to strengthen the paint and make the paint shine. It’s always good to start the new season with a good car wash!
Clean Out The Boot
During the winter rubbish can fill up in the boot. So it is good to collect rubbish and recycle empty bottles if possible. Also, give the boot a vacuum to get rid of any dust. This also makes more space for new things you might need to put in the car.
Clean The Inside
When cleaning your car don’t forget to do the inside too. Lift the floor mats and clean underneath them also! It’s also good to give the seats a clean also.
Clean Your Lights and Mirrors
Cleaning your lights and mirrors is very important to increase visibility on the roads. This helps you see vehicles moving around you, as well as making drivers see you more clearly.
